What is your vision? Keep fighting!
In the preparation of UPSC, many times students may feel tired and unmotivated. It comes in cycles- the boredom, lethargy of daily timetable, demotivation. If you talk to your peer aspirants, you will find that you are not alone in this. Everyone faces the same cycle of motivation and demotivation, work and break. But remember what will set you apart from this journey and is also the most important ingredient of what constitutes an aspirant is the clarity of your vision and its sheer intensity. Intensity in the sense of how badly you need it. That will determine how often you are able to break free of the cycle and dive in for the work again.
"You gotta eat it, sleep it, breathe it. And until you get there you'll never be successful in life, but once you get there I guarantee you the world is yours. So work hard and you can have whatever it is you want."
- How often has it been that you have set a timetable and forgot to follow it?
- How often have you promised yourself to wake up at 5 and ended up making some excuse for yourself?
- How often have you promised to not look at the screen of your phone and ended up wasting hours on it?
- How often have you subscribed for a test series and dropped it after a few tests?
"Most of you say you want to be successful, but you don't want it bad, you kinda want it. You don't want it badder than you want to party. You don't want it as much as you want to be cool. Most of you don't want success as much as you want to sleep. Some of you love sleep more than you love success."
As is said you can lie to everyone but not to your soul. It knows all.
But the good part is you can always learn from your mistakes and keep improvising. Improvise and improvise till you make it.
The mere fact that you decided to take this path means that you must have had something in you that inclined you towards this path, that resonated with it. Just find that reason, dust it off and embrace it again. Though this is just an exam and it doesn't define you but it is equally true that you can only be at peace with yourself and not have regrets once you know that you have given it your all. Left No stone unturned in your preparation. So give it your all and leave results on God then.
