First approach for freshers should be to complete the first reading of the syllabus as soon as possible with recall revisions. When you are reading your target should be on the learning and recall process. 

  • Shift 1 (2 hours): Your target for this shift today is to finish Laxmikanth Chapter 19 Prime Minister, Chapter 31 Chief Minister and Chapter 20 Central Council of Ministers. Read and reread the chapters first. Then make short notes of the chapter. Focus on the tables.
  • Shift 2 (2 hours): Start with Spectrum Modern History Chapter 26 Constitutional, Administrative and Judicial Development. Read and reread the chapter first. Then make short notes of the chapter.
  • Shift 3 (2 hours): Today is the last day of the four days allotted for your Current affairs monthly magazine, August 2020 target. If you find it difficult to memorize the articles you can try writing while reading or making short notes.
  • Shift 4 (2 hours): This is a daily revision slot. You must revise all the short notes made by you in this slot and try to recall it.

  • Shift 2 (2 hours): Your target for this shift today is to complete Laxmikanth Chapter 22 Parliament. This chapter has to be completed in 2 days. Today is the first day. This is a very very important chapter. Read and reread the chapter first. Then make short notes of the chapter.
  • Shift 3 (2 hours): Start with Spectrum Modern History Chapter 3 Advent of the Europeans in India and Chapter 4 India on the Eve of British Conquest. Read and reread the chapters first. Then make short notes of them..
  • Shift 4 (1 hour):   Today is the last day of the four days allotted for your Current affairs monthly magazine, August 2020 target. If you find it difficult to memorize the articles you can try writing while reading or making short notes.
  • Shift 5 (1 hour): This is a daily revision slot. You must revise all the short notes made by you in this slot and try to recall it.

These two chapters must be read in sync with each other and altogether 3 days is more than enough to finish them. Today is the second day. These chapters are very very important and thus must be covered in depth. Read and reread the chapter first. Then make short notes of the chapter.
  • Shift 2 (1 hour): Finish with Spectrum Modern History Chapter 30 Development of Education. Read and reread the chapter first. Then make short notes of the chapter.
  • Shift 3 (1 hour):   Today is the last day of the four days allotted for your Current affairs monthly magazine, August 2020 target. If you find it difficult to memorize the articles you can try writing while reading or making short notes.
