1.Effective Control and Management of Resources in Fishing Sector -PIB In pursuance of the announcement made in the Union Budget of 2019, the Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying has formulated a scheme on Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) and seeking its approval.

2. Promotion of Electric Vehicles - PIB Government approved Phase-I of FAME India Scheme in March, 2015 for a period of 2 years from 1st April 2015 to promote adoption of electrical vehicles with an aim to reduce dependency on fossil fuel and to address issues of vehicular emissions. The Phase-I of the Scheme was extended from time to time and the last extension was allowed till 31st March 2019.

3. Biomethanation - PIB In an all India coordinated project, efforts are on to produce bio-gas for kitchen use and quality manure for fields using bio-methanation of rice straw by anaerobic digestion method. Six domestic level paddy straw based bio-gas plants have been installed in Punjab for field trials and further study is in progress.

4. Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) - PIB The Star Labeling Programme has been formulated by Bureau of Energy Efficiency, as part of its mandate, under the Energy Conservation Act, 2001.

Black carbon from agricultural burning & forest fire may influence melting of Gangotri Glacier -PIB" The already receding Gangotri glacier seems to have more bad news in store.  Black carbon concentration in the region increases by 400 times during summer, according to a study.
