Chandrayaan-1 is the First Indian Mission to the Moon devoted to high-resolution remote sensing of the lunar surface features invisible, near infrared, X-ray and low energy gamma-ray regions. The mission was expected to have an operational life of about 2 years.
- Chandrayaan-2 is the second unmanned lunar exploration mission proposed by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
- GSLV-F10/Chandrayaan-2 Mission is planned during early 2019.
- The wheeled over’s will move on the lunar surface, to pick up soil or rock samples for on-site chemical analysis. The data will be sent to Earth through the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter.
